Emergency
Assistance Network Government poverty programs undergo change,
as do the needs of those turning to them for assistance. One result has been an increase in
requests to local faith communities for help. These requests are sometimes
small, involving money gas or laundry. Other requests - emergency rental
assistance, for example can be substantial. The Emergency Assistance Network ( East Congregational Church,
First Congregational Church,
Immaculate Heart of Mary,
South Congregational Church,
Wesley United Penacook UCC,
Penacook West Congregational, The EAN partners
also work in partnership with social service agencies as well as city and
state welfare offices around the state to connect families with distress
with local and government-sponsored sources of
assistance. If you would like to donate to the Emergency
Assistance Network, please make out your check to: First Congregational Church and
put EAN/Lazarus Fund in the memo line. You can mail your checks
