Greetings fellow traveller! Welcome back to Mount Stuart House on the Isle of Bute in Scotland.
This week I want to show you photos from my FAVORITE room in the house!
But before we going to the room...
you might want to first grab a cup of tea!
(either hot or cold, depending on the weather near you).
Second, before you enter, for ambiance, I invite you to click on this link for Library Sounds!
That's right! You've guessed it.
This week I'm excited to show you the library of Mount Stuart.
Let's go!
Oh - please remember - there's no talking in the library. :)

*whispers* Isn't it beautiful?! Ahhh... just a place that I most want to curl up in; to study or with a great fantasy novel.
When the cartoon Beauty and the Beast first came out, I didn't want the prince...
I wanted the LIBRARY!!!
By the way, the items on special exhibit in the cases were all about Mary, Queen of Scots.

*whispers* And just LOOK at that ceiling. When I first saw it, it completely took my breath away...
THEN, on the guided tour I took after I toured the house on my own, I learned that the ceiling wasn't finished! It was meant to be painted - with a LOT of gold in the design.
Personally, I happen to like the bare wood better. However, I'm sure the painted version would also have been a sight to behold.

*whispers* This photo is a representation of me being my normal church geek self - this is the Theology section of the library.
*whispers* As you probably recall from our Tour of Mugdock Castle, I LOVE fireplaces. This one was so unique! The orange and maroon tiles IN the fireplace were NOT what I expected; so very eclectic.
*whispers* And finally, one more close up of books - AND - this unique urn, with dual snake handles.
So - how are you doing on this tour so far? Feeling a bit peckish? Not to worry!
Next we'll be heading to the Dining Room. :)
Until next week - be safe. Be kind. Be well.
Blessings,
Pastor Emilia
